Thank you all for the congratulations on hitting one month on Substack. I haven’t felt that beloved since I had a direct line to Waverly Inn in 2010. It’s Wednesday, which means another edition of News & Noted, and this week, we’re toggling between a Wall Street legal threat rattling a 29,000-woman Facebook group and Soho House finally securing approval for its Hudson Valley land grab yesterday. (How’s that for being on top of things?)

First up: Are We Dating the Same Guy? is a national network of city-specific Facebook groups where women post the men they’re seeing and crowdsource answers. In New York, membership ballooned into the tens of thousands before the original group was taken down in 2025 after legal trouble. It resurfaced in backup form, but for the past month, thousands of women have been kicked out and blocked, and members are asking what exactly is going on. RPS has the answer.

From upstate, we were sent a copy of the Rhinebeck planning board minutes confirming that as of February 17, 2026, Soho House Hudson Valley officially has its sign-off. The long-rumored Grasmere project can now move toward construction, right when luxury hospitality developments are flooding the region.

More on both after the jump!
