I just started NAD+ which is as far as I’m going right now BUT my good friend runs a wellness concierge practice and she’s my go-to for intel on all of this. Finding the right provider (like with anything) is SO critical esp in this “new frontier” of medicine…with that said, looking into GLOW next!

want to hear your feedback! And tell me How NAD+ ends up going for you

Josh McHugh's avatar

Yes - the science is encouraging but how do you measure whether NAD+ is doing anything?

Carson Griffith's avatar

Eh, all I have is my Google MD. If you feel better I guess? What do you think?

Josh McHugh's avatar

I think it has to be blood tests of some kind. I loaded up on NAD+ a few years ago but couldn’t for the life of me tell if anything was happening. Never finished rather first shipment and cancelled the subscription. Just like pretty much ever other supplement I’ve ever gotten excited about.

I hear you and I like to see real results too! I’m the type of person. I like stuff that really moves the needle.

This peptide craze among the cognoscenti is a fascinating example of the continued search for the exclusive in beauty treatments. As well as peer pressure.

Every time I think I know all there is to know something new comes up! I told my friend this morning that the GLP1 she is on is in fact a peptide hahah

This article was focused more on the aesthetics portion, and what people are doing to improve their skin quality but I understand your concerns with our atrocious healthcare system

Of course. It’s just a different story than the one I was telling.

This story has to do with facial aesthetics. But you should definitely write that story on your substack if you want to. That’s the great thing about substack. We each get to write whatever we want to on our own substacks!

It’s interesting that people want to get around the injections with oral delivery - but to my understanding that kills the effectivity. Thoughts?

Carson Griffith's avatar

I had a friend who switched to oral and she stopped losing and some food noise came back. She didn’t really Gain any back but things got harder. It did seem to kill the effectively as You put it. Again, this is anecdotal, but it seems injecting straight into your bloodstream is the most effective way to go although it creeps people out.

Yeahhhhh exactly I’m in New York and I keep seeing the wegovy oral route. Another thing people don’t talk about is that stacks with BPC IPA and Gku copper take like … 4 months of daily or 5/7 days a week of injections even to SEE results

Rachel Harrison's avatar

4 months!!!! So long. I’m taking NAD+ and GHK. I wish there were smaller needles. Filling up a massive needle each time feels so wasteful for 20 MLS

Carson Griffith's avatar

What do you think of GHK?

S.P.A.'s avatar

6 for copper 👀

Carson Griffith's avatar

Wait I wouldn’t see copper on my skin for 6 months?? Do you think it’s worth it??

should I try or no? That was the one I was thinking about…

S.P.A.'s avatar

From what I’ve researched and seen, 3 months of consistent injections almost every day to see a results in six months for them to have their full benefit

My brother CLAIMS he healed his shoulder injury with peptides… I’m extremely skeptical…. I have back pain from slipping off a horse this summer and he keeps trying to get me to try it… also extremely

Skeptical. I am very much a modern medicine

I’ve been experimenting with some different peptides for health concerns with some potential positive results. I put my dogs on a peptide blend and I can tell a difference in their joints, so maybe the pet peptide market is next to grow. 😂🙈

Carson Griffith's avatar

whatever helps people, and animals!!!

Do you inject them?? Poor little things!

Sydney's avatar

I don’t! It’s in a liquid carrier. I use capsules and sprays for myself. My mom does injections but under supervision of someone for cancer treatment.

Rachel Harrison's avatar

I have my dog on NAD+. I want her to live the longest life possible!

NorCal feels like such a different universe sometimes. That’s not to say people aren’t doing these things, I just think they don’t talk about them as openly.

Carson Griffith's avatar

Also, my Inbox is always open to you!!

Carson Griffith's avatar

Are people doing peptides up there? NorCal is so beautiful

Rosie Buchanan's avatar

Maybe some people, but not most of the people I know. My SIL just confirmed her Marin Mommy friends aren't doing them yet.

Carson Griffith's avatar

I love that you asked!! Real time research
