Summer is in full swing, but we've got a lot to talk about besides who is spending time where. First up: Major Food Group, the hospitality company behind Carbone, ZZ's Club, Dirty French, and dozens of other restaurants, has teamed up with Palm Tree Crew, the entertainment and lifestyle company co-founded by DJ Kygo and his manager Myles Shear, to purchase a 187-acre championship golf course. Surprisingly, the acquisition has yet to be reported by any national news outlet, newsletter, or major social media account. We'll get into what the deal says about the increasingly blurred lines between hospitality, entertainment, and private membership in today's letter.
